We host a Carlisle United side looking for a immediate response after suffering a surprise 3-2 home defeat to Worthing on opening day. With Carlisle coming down to Somerset under pressure to bounce back, would you stick with the XI that started at Scunthorpe?

admin I’m going for the same 11 but Mcgavin in for Muller after performance against Scunny. I’d like to see Ste Walker also, I find it odd that no interviewer has asked about him and maybe asked why Slavi and Daly was a better fit for Scunthorpe. I’d like to hear the thoughts behind that

MattCL Agreed. For me, taking your chance should win the shirt every time. Muller won it against Newport, McGavin has won it back. Rowley will probably match skillsets for Carlisle, but Walker not starting, or at least coming off the bench, raises massive questions.

admin it does for me aswell, I think I had Walker down as the default Striker.. but the more I think about it I don’t know why. Slavi has done the same at NLS level as Ste at NLN and more at NL level. Maybe it’s that simple

MattCL Unfortunately the rumor that he's homesick is probably true. The question now is will he get over it or will we end up having to send him back up north?

MattCL Walker definitely showed he fits the system when he's on it, and Slavi was coming on with the second string lads. I thought it was a pretty clear signal of who was in line to start the season. Still, Slavi just needs a run of games, his numbers and efficiency at Southend were great, certainly not a bad option to have.

Any proof that Walker is homesick or are you just speculating? If he was homesick I doubt he would have been involved in matchday squad at all. Taking Rowley’s comment on Gloverscast out of context. Think he was talking generally. I would have liked BBC to have asked in presser yesterday why Walker was unused sub at Scunthorpe. Maybe tactical reasons and nothing else to it.

So rumours and nothing concrete at this stage based on him being an unused sub last weekend? Best not to jump to conclusions until we have the facts.

I think it will be the same squad named as last weekend, with Loick Ayina and Matt Gould not named, although personally I'd rather see Gould on the bench - just in case. It could be embarassing if Jos gets injured and there's no recognised keeper to replace him.
Although I was surprised to see Ste Walker not get any minutes against Scunny, I am sure Billy had his reasons and there are plenty of other games this season to play where Ste can show us what he can do. I have faith in both Billy and Ste to deliver and do us proud this season.

Cleavo-87 Whixh we'll only get if we put a bit of pressure on the BBC Somerset guys to ask the question. Ever since we had Cooper they've all been scared to ask the tough questions and by now I think it should be obvious to them he's not going to try to get them banned like Cooper did.

The transition to full time football isn't instant. Walker has plenty of quality, and as the season builds, I’m sure he’ll prove just how important he is for us.

It isn’t about applying pressure but getting them to ask different questions instead of the same ones from the week before. From a supporters perspective you can then get more of an insight without giving too much away to opposition.

Radcliffe 🔁 Kingdon (Better cover in behind Davies with Kingdons pace)
Spasov 🔁 Walker (Better all around threat where as Spasov has been more back to goal with runners going off him in behind)
Muller 🔁 McGavin (Better control of the game)

In the end this is the Xl that Rowley has chosen. A lot more front foot then against Scunthorpe which is a good sign.

admin I may be wrong as I haven't seen it back but the challenge on Daly in the last 10 seconds (Which might of been the cause of the nasty injury) looked a straight red to me. No intention of playing the ball just wanted to injure someone from what I could see.

Just seen it back. Obviously freeze frame takes away a lot but that doesn't look great to me. Especially considering the game was over so there was no need for it other than pure stupidity!

Just wanted to come on to say that I think we’ve got an absolute player in Ben Radcliffe. He looks so assured, uses the ball brilliantly, brings the ball out into midfield well - and yesterday he went close with superb solo effort. I already want us to do everything we can to make that permanent. Top player.
